Why Release International?

Release International is a Christian ministry, founded through the inspiration of Pastor Richard Wurmbrand who was imprisoned and tortured by the Romanian secret police during the Cold War years of the 1950s and 1960s.

Our vision is to see a world in which the whole Body of Christ understands persecution and responds prayerfully, pastorally and practically every time a Christian is persecuted.
