Pray for our persecuted family

Sometimes it can be difficult to know what to pray for our persecuted family so we produce a daily prayer shield which gives a specific need that you can pray for each day. You can see today’s prayer, plus those for the last 6 days, below.

Two Ladies Praying

03 May 2024 – China

Deacon Jia Xuewei of Early Rain Covenant Church recently suffered a broken rib while being detained by national security agents after attending a graduation ceremony held by the church. After being released Jia’s landlord was pressurised by the police and he was forced to move out.

02 May 2024 – China

Pray for all those who attended our partner’s recent training event for Chinese Christians. Many of them have experienced persecution as a result of their faithful witness. Pray for their healing from the trauma that they endured in China.

01 May 2024 – China

Praise God that our partner was recently able to distribute 150 Bible MP3 players in China. This is a secure way for believers to access the Bible and other Christian material.

30 April 2024 – South Sudan

Julia is crippled and has five children. Her husband is a soldier. She told our partners: ‘His salary is never enough and  almost never comes on time. We are so grateful for your visit and for providing for the needy like us.’

29 April 2024 – South Sudan

Pray for our partners who are supporting those who have fled persecution and are struggling to survive. Philip is a blind boy who lives with his grandmother and brother. He said: ‘My family and I live by God’s grace. We do not have any external support except the church.’

28 April 2024 – Malaysia

The majority of those who embrace Christianity, display an overwhelming desire to be baptised. Please pray for them as they make plans to do this discreetly, or secretly.

27 April 2024 – Malaysia

Pray for new converts, many of whom struggle with pressure to lay aside their newfound faith, and pressure to engage worldly behaviour.

Children’s Prayer Sheet

It’s not only adults who can pray for our persecuted family. Every month we produce a prayer sheet aimed specifically for children. Each sheet has specific activities and prayers which will help children learn more about how persecution affects children in other countries.

You can visit our Children’s Prayer Sheet page here.

Children Praying

‘Let us be on the side of those who sit in jails and are sentenced to death for their faith. Let us pray for them and help them’.

Discover where Christians are facing hardship and persecution simply for what they believe

Explore our interactive globe and discover where persecution is taking place and how we are working to support those at risk and to raise the voice of these persecuted Christians around the world.

The more times people visit and pray for a country the darker red the country appears on the globe.

Green countries represent those countries where Release International is actively supporting work to care for persecuted Christians. Countries coloured gold are ‘countries of interest’, where we are currently monitoring the situation for Christians.

The red flag identifies the country where our latest appeal is based.
