- AND RAISE FUNDS FOR PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS

RI is looking for a team of 20 people to make an inspiring trek through the Sinai Desert, Egypt - and to raise at least £50,000 through individual sponsorship to help persecuted Christians around the world.

The Sinai challenge, which takes place September 28-October 7 2008, consists of five days of trekking, with some steep sections and scrambling. The visit includes five nights in hotels, four nights camping, with two days spent in Cairo.

Accompanied by Bedouin guides the group will trek high into the mountains of the Sinai, including an optional climb on Egypt’s highest peak, Mount Catherine, and a dawn ascent of Mount Sinai to climb in Moses' footsteps. After a relaxing day by the Red Sea coast, the tour includes a visit to Cairo with the option of exploring the world famous pyramids.

The cost per person is approximately £980 for the trip, which we expect participants to pay themselves. All sponsored money raised will support RI's ministry. Places are limited – so book now to avoid disappointment.Desert Challenge 2008

Amy Harris, who previously completed the Sinai Challenge, described it as 'most definitely an incredible experience'.
