RI presents a special Asian-style version of the popular Christian musical His Story, in which a cast of over 50 actors, singers and dancers celebrate the gospel story through drama, live music and multi-media. Features the internationally-acclaimed Christian Indian musicians Anil and Reena Kant.

'As part of the new Pentecost Festival in London, we want to tell the story of the events that led up to Pentecost,' says RI supporter Ken Shearsmith, who created the original His Story musical.

'The performance promises to be a spectacular event, with a rich fusion of music, drama and multi-media. Don't miss it!'

There are three performances: on Friday May 9 (7pm) and Saturday May 10 (2pm and 7pm), at Westminster Central Hall, which include an Asian buffet banquet served before the musical (at 6pm and 1pm respectively). An exhibition presents RI's work in South Asia. Tickets for the musical, including buffet, cost £15 plus booking fee, and may be booked online or by calling 0845 094 4414.

Ten Christian organisations, including RI, are sponsoring the new Pentecost Festival, which promises to be a significant event, spread across numerous venues in central London.

This is part of RI's strategy to raise the profile of the persecuted church in the UK.

His Story: the gospel story

Mary the Mother of Jesus and John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, are told by Jesus on the cross to become mother and son to each other (John 19: 25-27). They then go to live in John's home.

Shortly after the disciples receive the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, Mary and John are in conversation at John's home. Together with Peter and Mary Magdalene, they reflect on the life of Jesus - and the gospel story unfolds through their dialogue, narration, multi-media images, live music and song.

This special production of the His Story musical features the internationally-acclaimed Christian Indian musicians Anil and Reena Kant, who perform alongside actors, choirs, bollywood dancers, soloists and a 19-piece band. Don't miss this musical extravaganza!

Anil Kant has achieved international acclaim as a singer, songwriter, and worship leader in recent years, having led worship in many countries all over the world, and recorded seven albums in the last five years of ministry.
