Pastor Joshua was speaking to an investigative team from the Christian human rights organisation Release International, which has travelled undercover in Myanmar (Burma) to report on the persecution of the nation's underground believers.

 

Christians described intense and brutal repression under the military dictatorship, which has declared: 'To be Burmese is to be Buddhist.' Release International is urging supporters to press the UN Security Council to require the Burmese authorities to release all prisoners of conscience - including Christians imprisoned for their faith.
