Our partners say that militants attacked 20 villages in the Agatu local government area of Benue state, killing more than 30 people. Many fled to displacement camps in neighbouring Kogi state.
Meanwhile, in the Barkin Ladi area of Plateau state, militants attacked several villages in Dorowa. Our partners said the Nigerian military responded to the attack but ‘made no search nor any arrests’.
Calling on the international community to intervene to end the bloodshed, our partners said: ‘As Boko Haram attacks gradually build up around the north-east states, Fulani terror activities are on the rise in central Nigeria.’
Please pray now for our brothers and sisters in Christ in villages across central Nigeria. Pray that officials and the military will act with firm resolve to end these attacks and protect vulnerable Christian communities.

Please pray for Beijing lawyer Gao Zhisheng who remains under house arrest ten months after he was officially released from jail. He was freed in August after serving a three-year sentence in remote Xinjiang province for ‘incitement to subvert state power’ but has remained under 24-hour surveillance at the home of his wife’s parents. Praise God that Gao’s health is improving and continue to pray he can be reunited with his family. (Source: Radio Free Asia)
Pray for our brothers and sisters in China’s Zhejiang province. Officials have now ordered all churches in the Fuyang District of Hangzhou, the provincial capital, and in the city of Lishui to remove crosses from the top of their buildings. Church leaders in both cities have decided to resist peacefully and were due to hold a city-wide prayer vigil yesterday (Source: China Aid)
Pray for the acquittal of South Sudanese pastors Michael Yat and Peter Yen Reith, who are on trial in Khartoum. The hearing scheduled for last Thursday was postponed till today as the prosecutor did not produce his witness.
