Thank you to everyone who signed our petition calling for the repeal of the blasphemy laws in Pakistan, and for the many messages of support and concern for Christians in Pakistan.
We recently met with the Pakistan High Commission in London and presented the petition. At the same time we were able to emphasise the state of insecurity that Christians in Pakistan are living under and to demonstrate the depth of feeling there is in the UK and Ireland and beyond among Christians concerned at how their brothers and sisters are treated as a result of the blasphemy laws.
Please keep praying for the situation in Pakistan and for the Government there, and that the local authorities would act fairly and justly when it comes to accusations of blasphemy. We believe improvements to the lives of Christians may take a while to happen but are not impossible.
